Description

Good poetry vs. bad poetry. Is there a difference? Sure, a person can be taught about poetry, about form, about the science of the art of writing. But self-expression is such a subjective thing.

How then can poets/artists/writers argue about the merits of their creations? How can I label a poem as banal when my own works can easily be considered as such?

I never tend to take my forays into poetry too seriously--perhaps because I do not think of myself as a poet. I like writing poetry because it is interesting or challenging or--at the very least--entertaining. But I would never call myself a poet.

So I give you another poetical effort. It may be read as two poems or as one poem in at least two ways. Let me know how you read it.

Thanks.

This might be for a contest, but it also might not be good.

I think it is very entertaining. It's fun to read it in different ways and the sentiments are amusing - like a little play about an argument between two people.
